Our First Certified Passivhaus
One of our early projects as a new company was to design a new build Passivhaus. Commissioned in early 2017 and finished on site in the Summer of 2019; this four-bed family home was designed in-line with the standards set out by Saint Gobain’s ‘Multi-Comfort Home’ and is now an exemplar for the concept.
We are delighted to announce that the project has been awarded its Passivhaus Certification. It was a privilege to work closely with the client and Saint Gobain on this family home and we are so happy with the outcome.
This design combines traditional proportions and materials with modern detailing and high performing glazing and building materials.
The first floor is organised around an open gallery landing space with glass balustrades, which looks back over a stunning double height hallway. There are high levels of natural lighting throughout the design, cascading down through the centre of the house from the roof.
